We now find the brainwave of the pdf specification in that it is not possible to draw a line using relative coordinates.
This effectively forces you to store and calculate with the minutae of character (glyph) dimensions when navigating a page.
This was unexpected to me.
Anybody up for writing a document format (friendly for printing) that has these properties.
Call it a .
pfd document.
The British pdf.

The weakness that my previous comment highlighted seems to have been fixed.
Whether it was a tightening of my own (beta) developments, or a fix by Microsoft, I am not too sure.
Anyway grateful either way.
The issue was tight coding of bold or italic keywords (multiple control codes with no spaces between the codes).

The buttons you see here on the blue panel produce an .
rtf file according to the .
rtf specification (as developed by Microsoft I believe).
However whether a richTextBox or Word will be able to read it or not, is an entirely different question.
Any body up for writing an .
rtf reader (according to the specification)?.
